Tirumala Teample and CFTRI Sign MoU to Strengthen Quality and Safety Standards of Tirupati Prasadam
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has signed an MoU with CSIR–CFTRI, Mysuru, to enhance the quality, safety, and nutritional value of Srivari Laddu prasadam. The agreement was formalised during the RISE Conclave in Bengaluru. The collaboration combines TTD’s traditional prasadam system with CFTRI’s expertise in food science and safety. CFTRI will support improvements in procurement, storage, processing, and distribution practices. It will also introduce advanced testing methods and standardised safety protocols. Special focus will be given to improving packaging and shelf life without altering traditional taste and sanctity. The institute will also train TTD staff in food analysis, contamination detection, and quality assessment.
