The Telangana Food Safety Department has suspended the operational licences of two dairy units in Sangareddy district following inspections that uncovered multiple food safety and regulatory violations. During the raids, officials seized 3,800 kg of cream and collected samples of milk, curd, and paneer for laboratory analysis. The inspections revealed the use of expired laboratory reagents and chemicals, misbranding and misleading marketing practices, poor sanitation, improper food storage, pest infestation, structural deficiencies, and inadequate record maintenance, affecting product traceability. The enforcement action highlights the state’s continued efforts to strengthen food safety compliance, improve hygiene standards, and protect consumers from unsafe dairy products.
