Uttar Pradesh FSDA Launches Monthly Mobile Food Safety Van Schedule

The Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA), Uttar Pradesh, has introduced a monthly schedule for its mobile food safety van in Lucknow to strengthen food safety surveillance. The van will visit all 23 designated food safety zones under the Lucknow Municipal Corporation from the 1st to the 23rd of every month, and from the 24th to the 28th, it will extend its services to Sadar, Bakshi Ka Talab, Mohanlalganj, Malihabad, and the Cantonment area. Officials will conduct on-the-spot preliminary testing of food and beverage samples brought by the public, while the campaign will also include awareness programmes and demonstrations on identifying common food adulterants at home. The initiative aims to improve consumer awareness and encourage safe food practices among vendors and citizens. Assistant Commissioner (Food) Vijay Pratap Singh said the campaign commenced on July 1 with an awareness programme in Narhi.
