FSSAI Seizes Over 50,000 Fraudulently Relabelled Food Packs in Delhi

The Northern Regional Office of FSSAI conducted an enforcement raid at a food business premises in South-West Delhi after receiving intelligence about fraudulent relabelling activities. During the inspection, officials discovered food products with forged manufacturing dates, expiry dates, batch numbers, and altered labels, along with printing machinery, stamps, and chemical solvents used for counterfeiting. More than 50,000 compromised food packs were seized, and an FIR was registered against the Food Business Operator. FSSAI reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy towards food fraud and stated that strict legal action will be taken to safeguard consumer health.
