The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has suspended the food business licence of Dior Pharmaceuticals with immediate effect after an inspection uncovered serious food safety violations and unhygienic conditions at its nutraceutical manufacturing facility. The inspection revealed multiple deficiencies in hygiene, sanitation, infrastructure, and manufacturing practices that failed to comply with the requirements of the Food Safety and Standards Regulations. Officials observed poor housekeeping, inadequate maintenance of production areas, improper storage practices, deficiencies in quality control systems, and several other regulatory non-compliances that raised concerns over the safety and quality of the products being manufactured. In view of the findings, FSSAI directed the company to immediately cease all food business operations until the identified deficiencies are rectified and compliance is verified by the competent authority. The regulator reiterated that strict surveillance, routine inspections, and enforcement action against non-compliant food businesses will continue to safeguard consumer health and ensure adherence to food safety standards across the nutraceutical sector.
